Finally got to writing this post. Been turning it round and round in my mind, removing stuff here, polishing bits there, editing to keep with the overall picture. One post, 4 months, many emotions, many happenings, and many changes.

What have I learnt from this trip? What have I gained? How much has changed? I want to pen it down in words, not for anybody, but myself to read, myself to reflect on this transition of a period of my life. Digressing again... dammit.

The start. Was planning for exchange, because I was so sick of NUS life, so sick of Computing, sick of Singapore. Kyoto was the first choice, for the rustic, scenic, romantic setting, a place where I envisioned vastly different from Singapore (and I was right). But no vacancies, then Arifah drafted me to Keio University.

Went over with Renna (2G), Shijia (3F), Yuhan (2F) to Keio, sad that Weijin and Hansen went to Tokyo Institute of Tech, but Zhiyang (3F), Shaozhen, Brandon went Keio during their previous semester.

Many things happened: going around Japan alone, meeting Brandon, Plume Is, meeting Yuhan, meeting Chunming, meeting Ken, buying keitai, touring Meiji, placement test (3F), touring Kamakura, meeting Shijia, Renna, going surfing (shonan beach), meeting Meera, Gilles, meeting Zhiyang, Kevin, Shinjuku, Kabuki-cho, Shibuya, Harajuku, Yokohama, Kawasaki, meeting Louise, Hiyoshi International House, Shimoda Student Hostel, karaoke, Kyoto trip, Nikko trip, Kinugawa trip, buying a bicycle and riding it back, cooking dinners, 100-yen shop, mini-stop, wii party, movie in the lounge, Honda san, Keio-Waseda baseball game, Akihabara, Ian coming over, Ueno Park, Sakura-viewing, Weijin's birthday, Shijia's birthday, going to Hiyoshi, Mita campus, Yagami campus, Tamachi eki, Shinagawa station, Shinkawasaki station, Nakashima Mika concert, Yoyogi park, Saitama homestay visit, meeting Kaori, Chen san, Yukata boat ride, Minato mirai, Tokyo Dome amusement park with Yuhan's class (2F), meeting Hiroshi, nomikai, placement test, welcome party, Tokyo Tower, Mori Tower, Osaka Trip, Kobe, USJ, Tenjin Matsuri, Tokyo Disneyland, Fujiyama theme park, Shabu-shabu, Nabeyaki, Okonomiyaki, takoyaki in front of the shin-kawasaki, video rental, Tsutaya, sukiya, matsuya, yoshinoya, musashi-nou, toho cinemas, spiderman 3, harry potter 4, nana 2, pirates of the carribean 3....

and probably more that I've forgotten. Coming back, its like leaving half of myself behind; the things above, things that I cannot bring back to this world that I am now. Somehow and yet somehow, I'm slowly forgetting stuff, erasing things that seem the most natural to me once, and making other things more important to me.
