photos 3

Ok somebody said my photos no photographic sense... zzz
Ok i thought some were good but maybe I need to think again. Anyway, actually personally, some photos were taken because of the scenery, some were taken to depict a certain feeling or impression, but all together, the photo albums I put up just kinda summarizes my day. (or my new life in Japan)

OK so thats why you will find a photo of a bowl of instant noodles soon... haha

Long story

Well this post is a long story, so if you don't have 20 mins, read it a next time...
(its an email reply to Chrong, but I guess it qualifies for a blog post, so its here... heehee)

Everything's fine over here. Just settled in hostel yesterday. The weather is cold here (although nowhere compared to yours), 5-18 deg, now doing 3 layers, but I don't have any proper overcoats. I like the weather alot, and the food too. Everything is kind of expensive, I really need to watch myself here, especially eating out and buying drinks. Transportation is well developed but expensive again. 200-400 yen for train rides, which goes to $2.60 to $5.20 in SGD.

There's alot of ang-mohs here, and I guess you know it, they are pretty hyper and party-like. I heard them tell about drinking-binges, think I might have to distance myself abit or end up spending alot of money. There's two Singaporeans in our dorm, so I'm probably going to stick to them, one is studying in US though. I'm going to visit my school later, one Singaporean has been here before. Besides that, I probably need to do groceries and necessities, like detergent liquid and all that stuff.

At night, it gets much mundane, I could go out walking in the cold wind, but nah. Probably a bicycle would be good, I'm already planning to get one. There's a TV in the lounge, but the ang-mohs are doing wii. Yes, thats the one where you swing the controller to play tennis and bowling. I did both last night, hahahaha! Besides that, there are TWO PS2 sets here. I think there's a rich, gadget-freak ang-moh. Damn lots of distractions, I should have brought my PS2 games and memory cards here.

Hmm... what else to do? I guess admin forms like alien registration, bank/postal account, handphone...

Juyoh Hotel at Minamisenju

The room, damn small, japanese-tatami style. Yes, I can kick out and hit the wall. +TV+fridge+heater. But the futon was surprising good to sleep-in.

Public bath area. Yes you wash your private parts publicly, women can come and wash theirs too, but they didn't appear when I was there... Dunno why, lol

There's a black-marble hot tub hidden behind, gave me a shiok rinse and a damn good sleep... w00t

my first crazy day in japan

Firstly, at bangkok got a jap bugger who fell aslp right after he sat down in his seat next to the aisle. Out of consideration for him, I went to the toilet only once that night because he was sleeping so soundly. The cabin attendant came and asked him for his meal preference. He gave a urm, and fell asleep again. The food came and he fell asleep again. An hour later, he took a few bites and fell asleep again. Then I very paisei to disturb him... zzz

Then after the plane landed I had to urge to go drop bomb. Then it was announced that it was 5 deg in Narita Airport... zzz. I was just wearing a shirt throughout the flight, so I went pangsai and shivering in the toilet in 5 deg. =_=!

Ok that was just the start of my crazy day but this was what follows in a quick surmise:
[I took JR line for 2 hours to my station near my hotel]

Then my GIGANTIC luggage got stuck in the mrt gates
den my ticket got eaten up
den the train staff diao me
waited 20 mins for train
den i ride wrong direction
[got off next stop, hauled and dragged luggage up a flight of stairs and over to the other side and down a flight of stairs and waited for anther 30 mins...zzz]
den i stomachache
den i finally ride correct direction
den i was so tired i fell aslp on the train
den i walk over to hotel
walk 20 mins upslope downslope with the ¬!"£$%^&* luggage
alot of ahpek stare at me dunno for what
den walk and talk to friendly police officer
finally reached hotel
check-in after 4pm. now 12pm only. zzz

ok enough, there will be pictures later.

PLASTIC TREE 「SPICA 」「スピカ」PV

The latest Plastic Tree (puraturi) single, made it to the Oricon top 30.

I liked the group very much since first listening to their Harusaki Sentimental.

Now looking back on it, I guess I was kinda attracted to the group (I actually paused my mp3 while I was fast-scrolling through the directories) because of the vocalist's voice. Ryuutaro - he has a very sad and melancholic voice.

Although I doubt I can fully describe to you the desolate and loneliness behind his voice, but this
song in particular is a very nice piece of music to listen alone on a quiet night, when walking alone home on deserted streets under the faint glowing stars.

The circumstances that create people to become talented musicians are not always that bright and starry. In fact, everyone has a past behind him/her, it was rumored that Ryuutaro was a eccentric child who often spent his childroom hiding under a table playing with dolls that usual girls play with.

Ok, before I digress and branch off into another topic, click the romanji lyrics + translation for a taste of the lyrics of Plastic Tree - Spica:

greed

It has always been said that humans are greedy, with many classical examples of how men befall to committing sinful deeds or betraying their kindred in the face of monetary or status. But perhaps this once, I would like to deviate from the common train of thought, and raise a conjecture of my own thinkings.

Men born in times of needs - of war, of famine. These men struggle for survival, to protect their lives, their freedoms, their homes, their livelihood.

Men born into poorer lives - of poor social status, poor family background. These men struggle to upgrade their status, to afford a more comfortable standard of living for themselves, if not, their future generations. A larger house, 3 meals on the dinner table each day, education for the children, medical care for the sick.

Men born into comfortable lives, having food, shelter and warmth as something definite from their very first instance of memory, having constant monetary allowances and comfortable personal expenditures, having ample free time and resources to devote their attention to their hobbies and interests. These men have their basic needs covered, they strive to fulfill their ambitions and dreams - to become a policeman, a teacher, a pilot, a star.

Perhaps men are greedy, they think naught of the items that are easily given to them, they are lured by the easy lifestyle and comfort available readily to them.

Why do I speak of such as greed? Because I feel guilty of it, to chase a dream above my basic needs, to be unsatisfiable with living and maintaining the life I have now, to not truly feel glad to survive each day and rejoice in life.

BUMP OF CHICKEN - Sailing day

My favorite DrumMania and GuitarFreaks song... If you have seen me at arcade you probably have seen me play this... I likes!

Translation:
Dreamer

When I close my eyes, I would see a faint dazzle,
and I would make to grab at it, just like a foolish dreamer
The hand reaches out to a distance
Far and unmoving like the end of a rifle range

Somehow I will live on without quiting
Even for that one instance of a smile; amidst many of tears

Dreamer

Opposing fate with my all, through right or wrong
This is the right that only I can permit myself
I take to the sails on this sailing day
Not waiting for dawn; just like a foolish dreamer

Believer

Endless dangers and uneasiness if I counted
Loving it and braving it all; just like an utter believer
If I close my eyes, in front of me
stands the dazzle once again
and I find reason within this heart that has became empty

And so I poise ready to strike
Just for that one moment of holding onto it,
there were numerous moments were lost to me

Believer

I give my all, I prove my this existence
Even with mistakes and faults
There is this treasure that has value only to me
I take to the sails on this sailing day
Through with sadness and despair,
I pick myself up and go on; just like an utter believer

Everyone and anyone
took flight in their own ships
The dazzle that we see from everyone and anyone
are lighthouses that shine brightness all around

So yes and again, staking my soul
Just to truly live that one moment,
I staked my life every other second without hesitation

Believer
Dreamer

With my all, I will prove my existence
Even with defeat and regrets,
There is a treasure that has meaning only to me
I take to the sails on this sailing day
A day for adventure, the utter believer throws out everything and goes on

With my all, I will resist this fate
Definitely everlasting and ever-shining
My lighthouse will shine for me
I take to the sails on this sailing day
In the mad windstorms, grinning happily like a fool;
just like a foolish dreamer

Dreamer
Dreamer

Everyone is a dreamer
Forever a dreamer

-------------------
very nice and beat bumping sound, whenever I listen to this I wanna grab and guitar and bash out some strings and smash the guitar and jump up and down the bed and whack the table and kick the chairs and scream and shout and... oh well u get the picture.

Yah, its a very meaningful song that talks about dreams and believers, kinda inspiration, although poorly translated, but looking at the words and BUMP OF CHICKEN jumping up and down, I think you get the picture.

Oh yah, to wy af zhan chrong swee fred, this is a One Piece OP also...
